A returning client approached us to enhance their bungalow with an extension featuring a utility room, an additional living space, and a new patio to enjoy the outdoors.
To begin, we removed the existing conservatory and dug out the footings. Once the concrete was laid and the substructure blockwork completed, we dismantled the obsolete chimney breast. This allowed us to construct the timber frame and extend the hand-cut pitched roof, forming the framework of the new extension.
Inside, we divided the space with a stud wall to create the utility room and extra living area. Both the interior and exterior walls were then plastered and rendered for a polished finish.
For the patio, we cleared the area of foliage and installed concrete fence posts in preparation for wooden panels. Patio slabs were laid, and steps were built for access through the new French doors leading to the extension. After the slabs set, we installed the wooden fence panels to complete the outdoor space.
Additionally, the client requested that we replace the old door on their detached garage and finish both the garage and the house with a fresh coat of paint.
